Xmas - A Digital ghost for another Year

Well it's come and gone at Nocton.

All that planning, all that activity and business and worry - all gone now in whiffs of memory, Black bags of coloured paper, empty champagne bottles. There are remnants of cheeses and game pie. No turkey thank the gods. Echos down the digital cameras, forgotten moments confined to thumbsnail images. Some never to be encountered again.

Lighting up in Nocton.......Xmas is fast approaching

Cordyline fruticosa (xmas lights).Image via Wikipedia
I've waited and waited and finally some Xmas lights have gone up in Nocton. Two of our neighbours have installed the most beautiful blue lights across their conservatories. Great! But where are the rest of them?

There are Xmas trees at Branston & Potterhanworth but nothing in our village. Why not?

Where is the spirit of Xmas?

I thought Nocton was a modern place.......

I thought Nocton was a modern little place to live, so why do the electrics keep going off? Can anyone explain. The UK is not a banana republic nor a third world country. So, why the interruptions to power?

Harmonica for Xmas

I've just put in a request to have an Harmonica for Xmas. Don't really know why. I've never been musical other than singing in the shower. Anyway - here goes - it'll be all blues and soul around Nocton this Christmas.
